Fortune's Well

These prints on Japanese Simili paper are based on my drawings of Fortuneswell (originally Fortune's Well) on Portland.

They are presented mounted, unframed or mounted and framed in 40 x 50 cm deep white glazed frames.

The design of this print is inspired by the quarry men living on the island, with reference to the parallel drill marks on freshly quarried Portland stone.

The lino print is combined with mono printed marks in blue

Good Luck Charms

It was customary to place a worn child's shoe in the chimney breast of a new home for good luck.

Inspired by this, these are back drawn mono prints of battered antique children's shoes. I have made three prints of each shoe, and as they are drawn freehand, each print is unique.

They are presented either mounted, unframed, or framed in glazed 30 x 40 cm deep white frames.
